Don't use the pay a bill feature unless it's for a merchant account. I tried to pay my rent via bill pay and it's still pending. called spendwell twice, was told the first time they could stop the payment and reverse the funds into my account. second time, I was told there's nothing they can do, and I had to file a dispute and wait ten days. meanwhile, I'm behind two weeks on my bills thanks to their stupid bill pay feature that doesn't explain that it's for merchant accounts.

The absolute worst reloadable prepaid card ever! I've placed several large orders and every single time they double paid one of my items. The amount would be showing in my transaction list, but it's still pending. Customer service claimed the store double charged me for the item, which wasn't true at all. Their system double charged, by deducting the same amount, after it is was already deducted. Which lead to me having to add more money to cover my order. Their cash back is a scam, unusable.

Funds are only deducted from your balance when a transaction posts. Avoid spend well, got card from Dollar General, loaded with 20 dollars. I spent two and a half hours trying to set up the account with 2 calls to customer support. In the end, I was unable to create an account or spend the money on the card. So essentially, they stole 20.00 dollars. So unless you like getting robbed, I would stay away from spend well.

They should change their name to "Scamwell". I didn't check the reviews before I wasted my money on an account that CAN'T be activated! Oddly enough though when I tried to register again a few minutes later, they claimed that the username that I created belonged to ANOTHER account, which the "other" account is the same account that they said I couldn't get activated. Dollar General knows since this is the ONLY item that they won't highlight on their website.

if I could give them 0 stars, I would. There's 1 good thing about this card and 1 thing ONLY..and that's the $0 fee to reload the card at DG. If ur not gonna use the $ that you loaded to the card immediately, DO NOT GET THIS CARD! On the app, it clearly states that when u pay a bill, it takes "2-4 business days" for processing. Well, that's a lie! I just got off the phone with customer service and they said it's gonna take "5-7 business days." Now my bill is late which results in a late fee! 🤬
