Been using this app for several years. Works well when it does but it's not always perfect and sometimes the steps it shows to solve aren't super detailed and some operations don't show other ways to solve it. Also, they recently got rid of the textbook feature to solve problems from math textbooks. Very big bummer to not be able to know what I'm doing wrong.

absolutely unreliable, can't depend it on for nothing at all, I take perfectly crisp pictures of equations, and it always matches it up with the completely wrong equation, without doubt, like if its actually correct, the it will show the equation, but refuse to show the answer, like if it's incapable of doing so. in general, horrible app, you should only use it for simple math, like 6 - 8 grade, high-school math seems to just jam it's systems too much for it to handle.

Best helpful app ever, this also includes doing stuff like math even if its too much or difficult to use. It literally can do any type of problems, except square roots. I don't understand why. But, it would've been really nice if it could do difficult math problems like from geometry instead of confusing me, or others for example. Edited

I'm an adjunct instructor in a community college. I teach courses in electronics, automation, and industrial engineering. So, yeah, a bit of math involved. A student brought Photomath to my attention several years ago. I was a little skeptical of how well it would be able to recognize various equations, etc., especially handwritten problems. So I installed the app and gave it a try. I was immediately impressed by the optical OCR and the way solutions were presented. It's outstanding.

Very helpful, answers most of the questions with ease. My only complaints are that you need to pay extra to actually explore the solving steps. And the second one is that a lot of the time photomath can't solve difficult word problems. But otherwise it's very easy to use, just take a picture of a problem and boom there's your answer. So overall, great app with some minor flaws.
