The major problem I have is not getting enough notice, time wise, of an upcoming direction or location. For instance, "In 200 feet turn right." The problem is that I'm almost at the turn when I recieve the verbal notice. It's as if I'm 200 feet ahead of the command. In a couple of instances, it created a safety hazard as I had to make last second turns. I've also missed turns and had to reroute to get back to the route. Is there a "location fix" to correct my position?

I just got the new android update, and notification no longer shows total miles left, nor the time of an arrival, and it doesn't pop up when you're approaching a turn anymore! Please bring it back!! Edit: More than 2 months later, still no fix. I depended on this feature for almost a decade for my work. It impacted my work life a lot. Edited

2 very annoying things with reviews: 1. when you use the separate ratings for "rooms" or "food" or whatever, then go back and edit the review, Maps deletes all the text that was in those boxes! 2. when you try to scroll down and click "see all reviews," you can't because the nav buttons are covering the link. this is on a pixel 7, Google's own phone!

The new design and app is not very functional. It no longer turns on do not disturb when using navigation. The app shows navigation directions in the notification bar if directions are left in the app, you need to clear the directions for it to go away. Also you can't look up spots without it auto looking up directions which is really annoying. The Spotify integration pops up fine but can't be hidden without exiting navigation. Overall it's a pain to use now.

Irritating and frustrating. When I am looking for places based on what is closest to my location, it should not be taking me 12 miles out of my way to a location with more/better reviews vs the one 1 mile away. Especially with places like corner stores/gas stations. its frustrating that a once highly reliable app now favors reviews over functionality for the users. Make an option to put your map into different modes that can be based off reviews or distance.
