Bike angel points don't reflect true value of the station. Stations that appears neutral could have negative points actually. Long bouts of efforts to keep streaks are lost if you don't quit and reopen the app every time you get on or off a bike to be sure that the points show on screen are the most recent ones. disappointed in wanting to help out the service and to get this level of inconsistency. Find a way to display bike angels points physically on the station or get better at mobile dev.

It was fine until the company removed all phone numbers from the app and forced us to use contact forms. They never respond with anything other than an auto reply. I was nearly hit by a car and when I called (this was before they removed the phone numbers) they left me on hold for nearly 30 minutes. They have also recently jacked prices without any specifics, leading to my auto renewal conveniently being processed just too soon for me to cancel without losing my money. Caveat emptor.

Will never use again. Needed to get across town and one of these bikes seemed like a good option. There were a few stations near my destination and $3 seemed very reasonable. Well the app wouldnt work on my phone so i had to pay $10 at the booth. When i got to my destination all of the nearby stations were full and the closet station with an open spot was nearly back where i started. Save yourself time, money, and headache and take a bus.

I've never had a single bad experience with Bay Wheels. The bikes have always been in at least workable condition (sometimes the seats are a bit loose, the bell doesn't work, etc.). The app is simple but very intuitive and functional. The price for a monthly membership is incredibly reasonable. There really are bike stations everywhere, and I've never yet needed to go to another station to find a bike or find a dock to park my bike. The freedom Bay Wheels gives me is worth every penny! Fun every once in a while, impractical for daily use. Take the bus. I hoped to use this for a cleaner way to commute. But it ended up being more expensive, more dangerous, and slower than just hopping on the bus. Example: I took a 1.5 mile ride and walked the extra .2 miles to my final destination (since you must park the bike at an approved station) for a total of 17 min and it cost me $8. The bus costs only $2.50 and takes 15 minutes total.
