The graphics are well done and the story lines that go along with each fishing spot are a nice touch. The "guide" gets a bit annoying when he tells you to "set the hook!" after the fish is already on your line. I might turn the guide off. The only other thing with this game is it frequently freezes up... not sure what's causing this? All in it's very well done and the cost to add additional rivers is very reasonable. Whether or not you fly fish now or not, I think you will enjoy it .

Definitely the best trout fishing game. Ultra realistic river scenes, great way to pass time. I have fished a handful of the streams available, giving a kind of nostalgic aspect to the gameplay. Even found a new king salmon spot by trying one of the streams in the game on an actual fishing trip. Also, had an issue after a couple years where game wouldn't load. E-mailed the developer and in less than a day he had responded and fixed the issue. 5 star service.

Outstanding simulator. Beautiful high-def locations, lovingly done. Makes all the other fishing apps look even dumber, if that's possible. The full package at $9.99 is a steal, but even at full price it would be worth it. I would like to see a simple way to mend line, like an upstream tap after the cast. Also an option for a drag on the reel would be appreciated. Keep up the good work!

This game is great! It's simple and straight to the point for people who want a game that is just fishing, and offline. No "bonus tokens" or slot machines for extra credits or any of that other stuff that other games add. It also has a huge variety of beautiful locations. Unlike other fishing games, you don't get a guaranteed catch on every cast. It is realistic in that sometimes you can cast for an hour with no bites, but other times get a catch on two consecutive casts. I appreciate that. Edited

I picked this game up about a year ago to help feed my fishing addiction. I've tried most of all the phone fishing games and this one shines as the best, hands down. The controls are excellent, the graphics are smooth, and sound effects are perfect. To top it off, the developer takes all the fish photos themself. A game designed by a fishermen, for fishermen. Download and buy the full version (all/future maps), you won't regret it.
