The app worked great at first. On occasion the app would not locate my vehicle. After I renewed my subscription in Sep 24, the app consistently would not locate my vehicle. Most current version is installed & restarted my phone. Told my device was old & to get a new one. Makes no sense because it worked fine before I renewed my subscription. The app worked sporadically (at best) for two months, then didn't work for another two. Then suddenly worked after two months for a week.

This app used to work very well. For many many months now, it has not sent us any alerts. We don't get any geofence alerts, no service alerts, no speed alerts. Both of our phones received no alerts whatsoever, and nothing we have done can fix it. The app is now useless. And yes, we have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and changing settings, and clearing the cache, and nothing works. Edited

For a $500 gps tracker, it's trash. The geofence doesn't work, there is no live gps function ( you have to refresh it yourself) and it will decide if it will update the location, sometimes it takes up to 5 hours to get an update on location. The trip function is useless. It's just overall generally useless. Not worth the money. Not like I had a choice though.

The app won't update where my car is located. You would figure with how expensive the system is there would not be a problem. Bugs like this make it a complete waist of money. Along with if you email them for help they don't get back to you. The customer service is some of the worst I've see in years. Would give zero stars if it was an option. Update I emailed them twice over a week ago with no response. I waited on hold for over an hour with no one answering. And no call back! Edited

Pros: the battery voltage indicator is nice. Cons: just about everything else. When opened, the app asks whether we like it, even though the user has yet to even use it. As others have noted, the location information is often hours old and tapping the refresh button seldom helps to update the vehicle's location. I don't know how often LoJack pings home, but this app/service is ineffective for knowing where your vehicle IS. It can only provide info about where your vehicle WAS.
