Difficult to map many different tracks. It's not intuitive and the user gui is not well done. The user experience is very lacking. The app preforms well when you do get it to record. However saving that one. And starting a new recording is a bad user experience. Should be much easier and flow easier. In its current state I would not recommend. Shame really. Seems like a good app.

Offline-maps disappear and take forever to re-download whatever network connection you have. Need to stay on the map download screen for it not to cancel, so prepare for a couple of hours locked within this screen if planning to use for navigation. Map packs are often grouped into entire countries, in case you are doing a 1500 mile stroll across the nation. Unfeasable for areas with poor or no cellular coverage. The functionality of the app itself, had it worked as intended, is highly desired.

We've been using this app continually in our wildland-travel business for a few years now -- on our Android phones and tablet -- in the Western USA. It impressed us when we first tried it, and it continues to impress us more each time we use it. Our use is primarily in an SUV, for recording and following gpx tracks and waypoints along remote backcountry roads. We recently used it to navigate in a remote region of the state of Nevada, and it worked perfectly as always. It is now our go-to gpx app when traveling, and we continue to recommend it to our clients, with positive feedback.

I'm using this app as a moving map for flying a complex pipeline system. It's outstanding. At 120 knots, position update is one second or less behind actual position. I had one issue concerning the earth kmls that were being loaded, customer support responded in less than an hour and a resolve fixed the issue in less than 24 hours! That is outstanding support!

The functionality of the map is okay but the base maps available for offline are TERRIBLE. There are better apps that show better topo base maps. Also this app didn't allow satellite for offline maps. They have Google satellite view integration but only for online mode. What they need is the ability to download a map by explicitly drawing a box on the map. The UI I find tailored for online mode but confusing as to whether maps will work offline.

Hello, thank you for your review. Unfortunately online maps cannot be downloaded for offline usage as GPX Viewer PRO is using public tile servers which does not allow downloading map tiles for offline usage. Also we are currently working on a style for offline maps which is similar to OpenTopoMap style.
