It's okay but I'm somewhat disappointed that this is just a frame of the web version. It can't generate images and you can't directly send photos from your camera without going into your camera app, taking a photo, opening Lumo again, opening the selection menu, and finding the photo. Right now it's very barebones and I wouldn't recommend it. Please Proton, make this review outdated. Edited

Thank you for your review. Lumo’s capabilities are currently focused on text-based files, although we’re working on the ability to upload and analyze more file types, such as photos, in the future. Edit: After the recent update the quality of answers is now excellent. Works quite well although as others have pointed out, not as well as some of the other options. But honestly it has only just been released, offers actual privacy, and is in a far better state than the competitors when they first launched. Excited to see what Proton can achieve in this space. I like the overall design of the app and i think they have done a great job with it. However there are some things that could be improved, like the keyboard partially overlaying the prompt box, dark mode missing or the model not being as capable as other models that have billions of dollars in funding behind them. But that aside, it works just fine for what it is meant to do and I don't think it's fair to judge it for what it isn't like others have. I will be looking forward to the next version.

it's extremely oversensitive to what it will and won't respond to, things that every other AI I've asked had no problem answering. i won't go below three stars because proton is a good company and it's a new product so I'd really like to believe it'll improve over time. I won't go over 3 stars because I paid for this and can't really utilize it and even when a prompt doesn't trigger it's "I can't help with that" it throws a fair amount of errors for reasons it doesn't share.

When my system is in Dark Mode, the status bar icons display as white. Please do something about that so I can actually read them. Please adjust the prompt box too, that always displays under the keyboard so I can't see what I'm typing. Please add a themed icon and a dedicated Dark Mode. Other than that it seems pretty alright Edited
