Paying for the Proton subscription. Calendar works okay, but there's basic functionality missing and it lags badly. example: I'm having trouble remembering my boyfriend's birthday, but there's no calendar search functionality to look it up. Any time I create a new event, the app stalls and I'll have to close out of the app entirely then re-open the app before the new event will appear on my calendar. Frequently entire months fail to load any events and I'll have to close out and restart.

Hello! Thank you for your review and feedback. A search functionality is not yet available, but we'll add your +1 to help the team prioritize this. Try clearing the app's data → Apps → Storage → Proton Calendar→ Clear data/cache (Note: this will log you out). If this behavior persists, report it with the "Report a problem" feature in the app.

Overall a fairly complete and well designed app. The biggest feature I'm missing is the ability to add tasks to the calendar. The biggest problem with the app though is that the it loads/shows the calendar events extremely slow. So slow that it makes the app borderline unusable. Reacting back to proton: Great you're aware of the slownes, though that should really have been fixed by now. Also, tasks were already said to be on the roadmap in 2022. So far I'm underwhelmed. I have the paid version, and I'm happy to support this privacy and security oriented service. However, I am having major issues with the login process. I can login to the website without any issues. On the app, I just get a forever spinning wheel. I suspect it has something to do with 2FA entry screen not getting triggered/loaded properly in the app. I have tried updating to the latest version, clearing cache and user data, updating my phone, and restarting my device. nothing helps.

Please Make Your Alert Notification Interface Better - Other calendar apps are so simple. You can click 15 min before, 1 hour before, and 1 day before ALL at once with one action. With Proton, I have to individually select them one at a time and go inside additional menus and then it defaults to 15 days before. Why? Make it simple. It's the most convoluted thing about this calendar app. Great idea: Allow users to set custom reminders that apply by default to each event. Edited

Quite good but the holiday calendar is still very weak and missing most semi major holidays in the USA.. Which is a shame as it's one of the most important functions of a calender. For example Father's day, Mother's day, etc.. Missing. It is possible to add it yourself of course, but on a holiday like father's day (always the 3rd Sunday in June) it's not super user friendly but doable (set it recurring, custom, every 12mo, on X day). Would just be nice to have more by default. Edited
