It's been over a year and 4.x remains almost unusable. Slide out menu is STILL broken, making navigation a nightmare and I constantly accidentally delete or archive things. I can't stress enough how much this breaks normal usage. Font size of UI elements remains mismatched as well. I've had to revert back to 3.x again, which thankfully still works. Edited

Hi! The rewritten app was introduced to address the technical debt present in the previous versions, and significantly enhances the stability and reliability of the app. Please share more information regarding the issues you've experienced while using this version via the in-app 'Report a problem' feature, so we can help.

pretty good and quick service. my big hangup is forcing the "sent from proton mail" signature is required. disabling the signature is hidden behind a paywall. yes it can be manually deleted, but this is a basic feature that every other email service on the planet has. just let me turn it off- I don't even want to customize it.

We do not profit off your data, unlike some other services. The only way we maintain our platform, as well as make free accounts possible, is through the support of our paying users. This is why we offer paying users access additional perks and features. Thank you for your 4-star review!

I love Proton Mail and would never go back to Gmail. This app, however, is lacking some of the features of the web client. for example, you can't view email headers. I have multiple addresses and can't even see which one received a message in this app. Apparently, the iOS version has these features. Still, the email service is great and well worth it.

Hi! You can view the message details, including the recipient address, by tapping the area where the sender is listed — just below the subject line (tap the empty space, not the sender's name directly).Thank you for your 4-star review!

I'm currently using Aquamail and would be interested in switching one of the paid versions of Proton Mail. I have 7 personal/business email addresses. The absolute best feature of Aquamail (and the reason I keep it) is the in the combined Inbox, each email's assigned color shows prominently, so I can quickly skim thru the list for emails of a particular address. If Proton Mail adds this feature, I'm all in. But right now, nope.

Thank you for your suggestion — we've passed it along to the team! At this time you can achieve better organization in Proton Mail by using custom folders ( https://proton.me/support/using-folders-labels ) and filters ( https://proton.me/support/email-inbox-filters ).

I am rather disappointed with the app's performance, emails take several seconds to display. The only solution so far is to clear the local cache and user data as I suspect it is unable to adequately manage its data storage or has a bug. after all why would this app use over 1.2GB of user data? that's slightly 1/4 of my whole mailbox online. missing index perhaps, runaway log/telemetry files, downloading too many emails locally who knows.
