This is a useless app. As many others have experienced, the app will not read the chip. I've done all the recommendations, un-installed, rebooted. It just won't read the chip. Waste of time and Alaska is stupid to have to download something else to verify passport. Delta allows passport info directly on their app and was easy Fix your useless app! Edit: I was able to check in the day before and finally enter my passport information on Alaska app so why even have this aggravating app?? USELESS Edited

Seems like a good idea in practice, terrible way it's been setup. Was able to add my passport and create my profile (that took way too long to do), yet when I go to share the information I get a screen that gives me a large checkmark and a msg that says something like "Mobile verify requested". Then nothing went though on the AK Airlines side of things.

Under "Mobile verify requested," you'll also see "Your information has been submitted," indicating the Airside app shared your information with the airline and completed its portion of the process. After that, it is at the airline's discretion to determine use of the service.

Chip reader just doesn't work, and there's no alternative. The tutorial text contradicts the tutorial graphics, which contradict the active screen graphics. I tried every version of the instructions (front, back, horizontal, vertical). After 23 failed attempts, I gave up. It needs something besides 'try again' when it fails

Garbage. Doesn't work. Fails to add document with "something went wrong" error, and then says there's too many attempts. Please don't put out a product that clearly doesn't work, it waste everyone's time. Fail. Update: how is it possible to make such a poor app and still have it published? I gave it another chance and now every action leads to an error message "something went wrong". Any reputable airlines should immediately cut ties with this company. Google, please take down this app. Edited

Garbage app. Has trouble letting me unlock my phone, scanning took sooooo many tries, my airline app is still saying incomplete verification when this app says its done and all good. This is horrible. Update: the verification went through for me all good, it was still frustrating to make work. The person I was traveling with could not get theirs to work at all... the scanning wouldn't work. They can verify you at the gate anyways so I dont understand the point of this app. Edited
