While the app is currently in beta it is not worth the price you're being charged. A steep subscription fee is required and you are also required to buy books new in order to access specific rules. If you fork over all that cash the app is poorly optimized, rules are not easily accessible, searchable, or laid out in a way that makes sense. Worse, there is no easy way to cancel your subscription. There are free options available. This is a hard pass for me in it's current form.

I'm an Ork player, our codex came out over a month ago and many of the data scrolls are still inaccurate, have old rules, missing rules, or missing wargear options. Additionally, My Warhammer account keeps having issues preventing me from logging in, even after requesting resets. All in all terrible product and support. Use Battlescribe, it doesn't require a subscription and is kept up to date. Very disappointed in this app.

There is literally nothing to do in this app. After stumbling around in the poorly designed UI, everything I selected required a subscription. I couldn't find anything that you could do without paying. That's fine, but just be honest and make this a paid app. Don't bait and switch. If I buy the physical books and codex's, I don't really feel like paying again. Thanks anyhow. Edited

I sprung for the subscription, so I could access all the codex material without having to buy the old 8th edition versions while waiting for the 9th. Handy for that, plus rules. Battle Forge is broken though, for, of all things, the normal space marine tactical squad! With a full squad of ten, if I upgrade one bolter to flamer, it tells me I have too many flamers! Same for the middle launcher... This has been the standard load out for decades!

While the site states that you can have acess to some things like Codexes without a subscription, you in fact need a subscription for everything. On that note, a subscription service? What incentive is there to subscribe when you can do all of its functions elsewhere for free? Edit to bump a star: Functionality is much better than at launch, with a better searchable portion of the main rules. The subscription has been halved, but it should still be free. Edited
