Getting better, needs some fixing. The certification card feature needs refining, at least on Android. It boxes you in to a specific type (or location) of image. The cropping is square, ITS A CARD. The certifications preloaded seem to be PADI only, and even then they're not all there. For dive sites, it would be nice for social features to be added. General comments, photos, etc. for example "no parking near the dive entry" would be pretty important to know. Edited

generally good. two things that could be improved: 1. it seems to rely on Internet access for some things. So loading past dives from before losing access and having them show in the right order with no access doesn't work great. why not cache everything locally and load from that first? Also assigning gear to dives seems reliant on Internet access and doesn't work without. 2. air consumption rate calculations don't always make sense, someone seems off there occasionally.

Some time later features that used to be easy are still difficult or missing. Ultimately there was no obvious benefit or need for me to have 2 apps where there was one. Can we please have the old unified app back... it was better. Please put dive info back in the connect app... it worked fine and there are features that no longer function. I used to send links for dive profiles to students which in the new app is impossible. A separate app was completely unnecessary from a UX point of view... Edited

I'm a dive professional who has recommended the descent to hundreds of students based partly on the excellent Connect app. Now they've removed the diving features from Connect and forced us to migrate to an inferior product. This is a huge downgrade from the old dive menus on Connect. Logs are less intuitive to read, harder to access, and the app crashes most of the time when trying to go into dive details. I will not recommend Garmin computers until they fix this POS app. Buy a Teric.

FYI new version deletes cert pics. It's a good app, at least it has been for me. It's a must if one has a Garmin computer, so it's not like one has a choice. Folks below complaining about dives no longer showing in the garmin connect app are right. Dives used 2 show in garmin connect app & the display was simpler there. Dives do still show on the garmin connect website, so functionality does still exist albeit in a less convenient form. Thankfully all other activities still work in connect app. Edited
