I've been satisfied with this app up until today when I discovered all my documents, downloaded files (except a fee), screenshots and ringtones are gone. Not in internal storage either. I've force stopped, restarted, cleared cache and uninstalled updates. 100% certain nothing there's no cloud service and set to delete afterwards. Three Pixels, including this 9 Pro since January, and never had this oroblem. Can restore some but not sure what files are permanently missing. Very annoyed and angry

Give back the Rotate button, so we can rotate our upside down or slanted photos, Google. Why does Photos app do everything but that one function? And receivers of the bad photo can't change it either. What is the point of this? Some kind of twisted pleasure in this, for you or somebody else? Great! So glad, we could help. Have a lovely day. I used this app for 5 minutes, and I hate it! There is no way to add folder shortcuts to the home screen, no way to customize the order of folder hubs on the launch page, and the search function is only available on the first screen. The default file manager on my outdated LG G6 (running android 9) could do these things, why can't the latest Google app do these things? UPDATE: I just tried File Manager +. Love it. Simple layout, easy to use, great features. Google should take a look at this app. Edited

Files will crash every time I want to send something via text or email. Literally have to open up the files app and then click share. Can't click the 📎 in the text app or in the email app. I disabled the app and cleared the cache on both personal profile and work profile. Could be something with permissions? New phone. Was working before the update. It was working before I added my work profile. Maybe it has something to do with the Microsoft Intune app. Hopefully that helps.

Untill recently this app was great for accessing files, but recently it pops up with a screen to "Allow access to your files...." The only control that responds is a "Continue" button at the bottom of the screen. That goes to an access screen thet lists file groups, most of which are already selected. Returning from this screen does nothing. For me the app has gone from great, worthy of 5 stars to utterly useless. I've tried all the usual recommended things. Reboot, Safe Mode, etc.
