Highly recommend for those who have rented a car and are interested in seeing a lot around the island and learning a bit along the way. A bit corny, but for the most part spot on and kid friendly. Saw way more than we would have on our own and it was very easy to use. It does drain the battery (as the app itself calls out), so be prepared with a battery pack or USB charger.

The app is great- professionally made and super fun. We learned about a lot of cool things we would have normally just driven right past. BUT the tech support is awful. We called their help line twice, and both times we got an answering machine. The first time they didn't get back to us until the next day, after we had toured one section of the island without the Shaka Guide. The second time, well, we haven't heard back from them yet. So we weren't able to use two of the four segments we bought.

Wonderful!!!! I highly recommend this app...we saw the whole island in 4 days! We had never been to Kauia. This app exceeded all expectations! The app took us to all sorts of different spots that we would have never found on our own. We traveled 12/21/19 - 12/28/19 and the weather was very wet thus making the trails extremely muddy and because of this we didn't get to do many of the cool hikes.

I used this guide of Kauai 6 years ago. My kids and I LOVED it! They were entertained by the stories and music. I loved that I could drive and sightsee! Some of the turns came a bit late but it wasn't too bad. I'm back in kauai for an extended period and the app is not working consistently at all. I was able to use it last week when a friend was visiting. But now, and about 2 weeks ago, the app won't even open. I also purchased the big island bundle and wasn't able to use that at all.

If you are going to Kauai, you will want to get this app! Period! My wife and I went there for the first time for our 30th Anniversary and it was SUCH an amazing trip. We have to credit a lot of that to this app. The virtual tour narrarator was so informative about places to stop (some of which we would have never seen or found), lots of history of the island, information about places, and the GPS directions were so easy to use and extremely accurate. We knew right where to go. Get it!
