The app seems to be a partial port from the iOS version (support pages still reference iPhones and carplay). My wife and I bought the guided tour for the road to hana, it was FANTASTIC. We learned so much, saw so many amazing things, and the app itself worked great. The user experience was awesome, easy to understand, and ran smoothly even on my older phone. If you're considering buying a tour, absolutely do it. Worth every penny!

This app was phenomenal. most likely, you'll lose conventional gps if you're on the road to hana. but this app was able to guide us all the way through even without reception. we did the loop which took us from north maui, to southern maui. the narrator was awesome and they played music the entire time. every so often the app will freeze and just play music but that was easy to fix.

I used this app for the Road to Hana. When it worked, it was very useful and helpful. However once I lost cell service, the audio stopped playing even though the tour was downloaded. I tried resetting the app and putting my phone in airplane mode. After restarting the tour, it would play the next audio clip at the location trigger as intended, but then the clip "hangs" and it is unable to start the next clip at the next location.

I bought the tour for Road to Hana and downloaded it the night before. It only worked when we had data (which was rarely) even though it's supposed to trigger based on gps alone. I tried restarting the app several times but it didn't help. Also, the music that was supposed to play between stops didn't work. I have an android and I wonder if iPhone users have had a better experience since the app has so many good reviews. Very disappointed due to the price, might be worth it if it worked.
