10.5.1 version is glitchy and for me only searches in Tokyo. Older versions warn not to update to new patch, but old version is the only one you can download new. hoping the developers roll back the published version soon, or fix the glitches. still works but you have to enter some things manually or search on the map yourself for where you want to go. location services lags terribly. but still a useful tool overall, just extra work.

This app has saved our trip not once, not twice, but 3 times! The first time it saved us was when we bought a Mt. Fuji pass from Fujikyu for 2 days.Process was very simple. 2nd time was helping us get a Tokyo wide JR pass,again very simple. Third time was when we weren't sure which platform to take in Chiba, but using the check and ride function, I took a photo of a digital train timetable and the app confirmed we were on the right platform. What a relief! Extremely happy with this app!

Greta app. shows all things of local interest of all categories. and I mean ALL . anything you want they got it. caveat is food, best bet is to use the Japanese app tablelog or Google reviews. this app can even be used for transit route planning, for longer routes that google can't handle too well. travel routes to all your points of interest. full itinerary travel guide. you can put all of your itinerary in it. best part is, this app, you can get the official recommended e-sim. Best esim.

The app helps navigate Japan. I'm not sure it is as good as the old Hyperdia site, but it works fairly well. Unfortunately, it absolutely eats up my battery. I have to 'force stop' it after every inquiry, otherwise it just continues in the background and drains my battery. I don't have any other apps that are as bad as this one, including my other map apps.

Works great for finding routes to-and-from destination locations. Helps organize everything and is extremely useful. I just wish I could share the itinerary with my wife so we can both edit it in real-time. Whenever she clicks the link, it just opens the Google Play Store. There's no way to redirect to the app. Would be a very useful feature.
