The app is quite ok, has some usefull functions, including the background monitoring which is very useful. BUT ... recently I am unable to connect from my mobile phone to the camera anymore if I'm outside of my local network. It was working, but not working anymore: it's just staying on "Building an encrypted channel" ... My wife has the same issue also recently... Any hint why this started to happen ? LATER EDIT: After app. update from 25.nov, now it works again ! Thank you Edited

Great when it works, and for its use case it should always work, but the scary truth is that it doesn't. Recently whenever the app is started the screen stays black and says "building an encrypted channel", often this is only for 20 seconds (far too long!), but sometimes it just gets stuck on this permanently. Other times the app looks like it's working but what you don't realise is that you're looking at an older still image of your baby. You might believe everything is ok while it's not.&more

We're sorry to hear that you're facing issues. Clear the cache in the app: on video streaming preview screen, tab Settings>My app settings>Clear Cache and confirm. Afterwards, force close the app and relaunch it. If that doesn't help, delete/reinstall the app. Don't hesitate to contact us via Philips.com/contact if you need further assistance. KR

This app sends unwanted, unsolicited survey requests as priority notification to my phone - with vibration / sound alert, while my kid is sleeping. Survey link is via a 3rd party platform. I never asked to be sent spam through my baby monitor app, I didn't opt in and cant opt out. Might have as well bought a Chinese product apparently. This is how you lose consumers' trust. RE: response below: could've put a note/banner in the app itself vs unwanted push notification. Then I could've ignored it. Edited

App works great with crisp video quality and all the expected features. Adding these two missing features would make it perfect: 1 - support for notifications for guest users. 2 - make it possible to accept terms and conditions when connecting to hotel WiFi

This app is nothing but problems it's unreliable and has so many bugs. Most recent issues is upon opening the app I'm at the greeting window, when I select the one monitor I have, to make it larger, and view other information (like temperature or what not) it simply sticks on the retrieving video stream... Other issues I've had with this app, it would freeze. Sometimes closing the app so it doesn't run in the background, wouldn't actually close it, requiring me to restart my phone.

Thank you for your review. Of course, we want you to be able to use all features of the Baby Monitor+ app without issues, and we regret to hear that's not the case at the moment. Could you please delete the cache via the app settings, force close the app and restart it? If that doesn't help, delete and reinstall the app. Let us know if this helps.
