Originally given 1 star as the app wouldn't work, crashing every time it connected (via wi-fi). Without doing anything to either my Sony Experia Z4 tablet or the eS-9, the app started to work as described, meaning I could use the tablet on the flybridge rather than install a 2nd mfd. Update - as of mid 2020, app has started to freeze when in use, with a message about incompatibilities between the MFD and tablet, which is strange as neither has been updated and are still identical to the years the app did work. I can no longer rely on it giving the correct info, so it's now useless.

This is a brilliant app when it works, most of the time it does not. My new Samsung galaxy pad with latest android cannot hold a reliable WiFi connection to my axiom 9. When the connection drops, the axiom WiFi SID disappears for a minute or so, when it reappears android reports cannot authenticate. Leave for several minutes and I can connect and run raycontrol, until it disconnects again. I am starting to think this may be a problem with axiom WiFi rather than raycontrol.

This review is for everyone having issues connection via wifi TO the Axiom devices. I sent both my units in because I was continuing to have issues. Constant dropped SSID connection. Both on Android & iOS devices. Raymarine bench tested and recreated the problem. They then tested their own in-house devices, SAME ISSUES... At this point there is no remedy but they said they have escalated the issue to the engineers. This may need EVERYONE voicing their unhappy concerns to get this remedied ASAP!! Edited

Has not been updated since 2017. Will eventually crash app on tablet. Worse, it caused my Axiom+ 9 to reboot! Update: 2021-06-15. In product support we generally deal with current products and past products, we do not comment on future products. The app appears to connect but goes blank then ceash after a while. Updated my axiom and the app on my phone which made no difference.
