As far as dispersed camping goes camping goes. this doesn't have very many locations. you can't pin and add locations offline. you can't GPS coordinates locations to add either. I went out scouting today, this app only shows two locations. but it's probably like around 100. at first I tried to add new locations to the map and it wouldn't let me. So then I recorded the GPS coordinates to add later. but you can't. I would like to see. offline pinpoint recording, GPS coordinates and free subscr

app constantly 'loses track of media' when I'm doing reviews. I'll add 9 photos or videos and maybe 2 of them will save. I have full 5g, can be connected to internet, it still happens with nearly every review. so I try to delete the review to redo it, then it won't save the new review. about ready to be done reviewing and only use the app for searching or switch to another app. thought it was my older phone causing the issue but it has been happening with a brand new Google pixel 9 pro too.

Constantly begging for feedback, like every time I'm on it, yet never listening to it. Prompting for gps after every search, ignoring that if you want to search an area where you are not gps is bad. Don't make me close several prompts every time I click anything! Now I can't even use it unless I use gps cause a new prompt appears as soon as I close 1 making it pointless since my goal is almost never to search where I am at but to search where I will be. Removed the useful filters unless you pay! Edited

Once upon a time, state parks were free and mobile phones weren't a thing. Travelers paid $35 for a road atlas every couple of years, drove to a green tent on the map and hoped the place still existed and wasn't full. The Dyrt's community info, clean interface/filters and trip planner are well worth it to me. One night pays for the year. If you disagree, freecampsites and allstays offer truly free site lists- but you'll be bombarded with ads and hard to decipher visuals. I prefer this.

this app is heavily advertised as the place to look for dispersed campgrounds. it shows a long list of anyplace that is camping related in your area and if no one has been there, there is no information on the place. I tried the app because I did not want to wade through 100s of campgrounds to find the dispersed campgrounds that are free. you can get all the information on the app from a Google search, which was what I was hoping to avoid having to sort through. very disappointed.
